The ideal candidate should be able to manage a home, assist with business administrative tasks, care for children if they are home during business hours due to vacation or illness, and be able to perform any other tasks as assigned. The person will be an assistant to the whole family, however the business is run from home by the husband. You must be comfortable taking tasking from either of the adults in the family. Childcare is not a primary requirement, however being able to act in that capacity is a plus. The primary tasks are business aid and domestic assisting.

An example of a day might look like this: Prepare coffee and assist with getting breakfast for the family. Once the children and wife are out of the house, pickup any items left out and put away dishes or laundry. Then switch over to assisting with the business.

Examples might be calling clients, answering email, ordering business cards or promotional materials, updating job postings, initial calls of candidates to verify their interest, etc.

Ordering lunch or preparing a meal for yourself and the family would typically occur on any day where there is not a lunch meeting. Making reservations and attending business luncheons or happy hours will occur. Being able to multi-task at these event and take notes on a cell or tablet is a requirement.

Afternoons may involve scheduling and overseeing trades to accomplish skilled tasks at the home or for the business. Typically the day will be over by 3 or 4 pm.

Candidates who are comfortable with childcare can earn extra hours by looking after the children one or two nights a week. The children are both school aged so this would simply be a matter of being an adult presence while the parents attend social or business events.

Live in or live out are options. Pay will be the same hourly rate unless we are providing transportation and are expected to provide evening and weekend meals. In the case that we are providing a vehicle, auto insurance would be deducted from gross pay, and your hourly rate may decrease. We would ask that you either contribute 25% of food costs or take a $2 an hour pay cut to offset the additional cost of food outside of working hours.

Pay would be dependent upon experience, however an initial rate would be between $10 and $20 per hour. After 90 days this could be increased based upon demonstrated performance. Annual reviews and promotions are possibilities.

An interest in learning about Information Technology would increase the likelihood of promotion. Skills in the Food and Beverage industry or the gaming industry would also be major advantages for a candidate.

Only female candidate will be considered for live-in. Live-out can be either male or female.
