Dear host family,
My name is Lucy, I have a nickname, my friends and family call me Keshie. I am a 27 years old girl and I live in Nyeri, a beautiful county in Kenya, a wonderful country in Africa.
I am a responsible, open-minded, easy-going, trustworthy, patient, kind, dedicated and helpful person. I love taking care of kids. I love to ensure they are in good health, they are safe, and they are happy.
I come from a family of five, being a firstborn, with two younger siblings. My mother has a brother who lives with his family just close to our family. I belong to a very close family. My family practices farming in our big garden, and as a result, we see each other a lot. As a result of my family closeness, my close inner circle of friends is often accepted as ‘family’. I safeguard and hold dear to my friendships because I choose to surround myself with fun and loyal people. I just love true friendships.

I recently graduated from college, with a Diploma in Cartography and GIS. I love learning different cultures and new languages, traveling, meeting new people, and above all making everlasting memories. When it comes to challenging situations I ensure to be patient, collected, calm, and have maximum will to learn.
I would like to become an Aupair as I have the ability to bond really well with kids and I blend with them quite easily. As a result, I will be like their sister and most of all be their mentor in different aspects of life. I also have the ability to learn from my mistakes and I believe kids can teach you something valuable as well. Most of the time I have a hard time letting go of people and things I have gotten close to and used to because I get too attached and thus it becomes so emotional to detach from them, especially children.
I am looking for a host family that would be happy to have me as part of their family. I would appreciate a warm, kind, loving, and imperfect but perfect family who are willing to learn and exchange new languages and cultures. I am looking for a stay of about 1 year or more depending on the connection and bond with my family.
