Dear Host Family,

I would love to become an au pair in your family. I'm Darline Mae. I'm 22 years old. I was born and raised in Cebu, Philippines. I am a senior high school graduate with the strand of humanities and social science batch 2018 to 2022 and have a 2 years of solid background in customer service gained by working in the retail business industry and BPO industry. I would love to describe myself as open-minded, responsible, trustworthy, loyal, committed, dependable and fun. I like to do outdoor activities like going to the beach and traveling when I'm free. I’m very fond of planning trips and going on short adventures. I'm fond of trying new foods, immersing myself in the beautiful cultures of other places, and meeting local people. I also played sports; sometimes I played badminton and archery.

I came from a family of five. My mom is just a single mom. I have 3 siblings, 2 sisters, and 1 brother; all of them have their own families, and I am the youngest, the only single person among the siblings. My father died when I was 6 years old.

I have 4 nieces: Aia, who is 8 years old; Ishe, who is 6 years old; Cataleya, who is 5 years old; and Riah, who is 7 months old; and 3 nephews: Prince, who is now 15 years old; Aj, who is 8 years old; and Dwight, who is 2 years old; and a baby coming from my sister. I don’t have childcare experience professionally, but since I've got a lot of nephews and nieces, I've gained experience in preparing meals for them, helping with homework, and playing with them. I've had experience with infants, having cared for my own nephews and nieces, which enabled me to take care of all aspects of child care, including feeding, bath time, and nappy change. When we were young, we helped our mother with household work. As siblings, we have different duties at home that we have to perform every day. So I can help with cleaning, laundry, cooking, organizing, and more.

I'm interested in becoming an Au Pair because it’s a great opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture, build connections with a host family, and gain valuable childcare experience. Being an Au Pair allows me to combine my love for travel, working with children, and experiencing life in a different country. It's a chance to grow personally and professionally while creating lasting memories. I hope you will give me the opportunity to become a part of your family.
