I hope this letter finds you well and filled with excitement for the journey ahead.

My name is Joanna, but you can call me "Joan" or anything else you prefer. I'm 23-year-old, writing to express my genuine eagerness to become a part of your family as an au pair.
Allow me to introduce myself a little further. I am a Filipina with a heart full of dreams and a passion for working with children. I grew up in a large but joyous family of nine. Out of seven siblings, I am the fifth child—(3 older brothers; 1 older sister; me; 1 younger sister, & 1 youngest brother). I left my hometown a few months after graduating from Bohol Island State University-Main Campus with a bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship last July 2023. I currently reside in Rizal, Philippines, with my two sisters—a 27 year old (older sister), 20 year old (younger sister) and as well as a cat. I am originally came from the province Bohol particularly in Jagna- the "Home of the Original Calamay". Growing up in the Philippines, I was surrounded by warmth, love, and a strong sense of community. Family has always been the cornerstone of my life, and I am excited about the opportunity to become a part of yours.

In terms of childcare, although I don't have any professional experience, I did have a significant role in taking care of my younger siblings, particularly the youngest. Not only with them, but also with my cousins (paternal) and my nephew, whom I treated as my younger siblings. I prepare meals, sending to and fetching them from school, teaching them with their home works, playing with them outside the house (like some traditional Larong Pinoy), taking a bath with them, and getting them ready for a good sleep. I am proud that I imparted valuable lessons as they grew up, and I also gained great experiences during the time I was with them, which can be very beneficial as I embark on the journey of becoming an Au Pair.

I would be delighted to become your Au Pair, not only because I adore being around kids and cherish the time we spend together, but also because I am ready and aware that being your children's big sister comes with responsibilities and that it won't always be play and enjoyment. My ability to remain composed and patient will come in handy in challenging circumstances, such as when the kids are tired or refuse to listen to me.

It would be an immense privilege if you opened your home to me, introduced me to new experiences, helped me understand and appreciate cultural differences, and generally had a positive impact on your family, particularly your children.
I understand that inviting someone into your home is a big decision, and I want to assure you that I am fully prepared to meet the challenges and responsibilities of this role. I am responsible, reliable, and adaptable, and I will always prioritize the needs of your family above all else.
