Hello! My name is Eliana, and I am writing to express my interest in becoming an au pair for your family. I have lived in America my whole life, born and raised in Oakland California, near San Francisco. I have many hobbies that I enjoy such as dancing and reading, singing, hiking and sightseeing! I also enjoy learning new hobbies and things in new environments.

Above all, I love to travel and experience new places! My very first abroad trip was an exchange program where I traveled and stayed with a family in Tuscany, Italy. It opened my eyes to such a beautiful and wide range of opportunities I have access to, such as becoming an Au Pair!

I have always loved working with children, which I believe makes me a great for a position as an au pair. I grew up working as a babysitter for my family and friends, and was recently a summer camp counselor for children aged 3-6, with a focus on 4-year-olds. I enjoy working with kids because not only do I work well with them and have a great time, it teaches me life skills that will be great for my future such as patience, creativity, and the ability to connect with children on their level.

My hope is to spend a few weeks/a month abroad as an Au Pair for my last year of high school. I plan on studying independently while immersing myself in a new culture and language. I also hope to learn a new language during this experience. I look forward to having a close bond with my host family, caring for their home and child/children, and gaining valuable life experiences.
