| My working experience has been with children from newborn to 13 years, focusing on preschool age and younger. I first began looking after children outside of my own family when I was twelve, worked for a few families regularly and since then have had experience as an au pair, nanny and as a trainee teacher in a preschool setting during my ECE courses. Most recently, I have spent time working as an au pair in Stockholm ('06-'07) and Zagreb ('07 - '08.) Let me know if you'd like my full résumé!
A little bit about me: I'm originally from California and grew up mostly in San Diego and Los Angeles before moving to Florida, where I attended Pine View School for the Gifted. Along with the languages I have listed, I speak Spanish conversationally, a bit of Russian and a bit of Korean, and continue to study all three in my spare time. I love traveling and have been to many different countries: Korea, Mexico, Slovenia, Italy, etc. My main interests are music and acting, which I've been involved in all of my life and am more than happy to mentor your child in if they would like. I also enjoy cooking, photography and writing.
Ideally, I would like to find a position with a respectful and down-to-earth family. I'm open to all types of lifestyles, practices, religions and parenting techniques. At the moment, I am not considering positions outside the general vicinity of my preferred cities. Feel free to send me any questions you might have. Thanks!
A note to New Yorkers: I've spent a good deal of time in Manhattan, am familiar with the subway lines and know my way around, so I'll be able to take your children to their lessons with no problem from day one! |
