Dear future host family,
My name is Rachel and I am from the Philippines. I was a an au pair in Iceland last 2021-2022. As an au pair in Iceland, I mainly looked after a 6 year old girl, a 10 year old boy and an 11 year old boy. Every other week 3 girls also come over from their dad and stay at the house where I am staying. My main tasks in my previous family is helping in preparing lunch boxes in the morning, cleaning around the house, laundry, help in cleaning up after dinner and sometimes playing with the youngest one when she gets off from school. I also help sometimes in making dinner. I am also responsible for atleast2-3 children whenever my host parents are out of the country. I love spending time and taking care of children because I am very fond of them. I worked as a part time technical assistant for 4 years before coming to Iceland and that is also my work now that I am back in the Philippines. I am very patient and had an experience teaching basic English to children as I have also been working as an ESL teacher from January 2020 up to September 2020. And most importantly, I can be a big sister for your children.
I usually spend my free time reading books and writing short poems. I also love watching movies. I like to sing sometimes. I am also very much accepting of any advice that you can offer to me. I can also help with you household chores and can also do paper works for you if needed. I would like to become your Au pair to reach my dreams and to help my family and of course to help you also in your home. I am very excited to be of help to you and to your whole family.
